Dr. Benítez Rojas has demonstrated sustained civic leadership through her six-year tenure on the Governing Board of one of the world's largest human rights organizations, including one year as Vicechair — providing strategic direction, policy development, and accountability for global human rights initiatives.
Her community engagement extends to founding two radio stations — Radio Pisquito FM 103 and UNF Pulse Radio Station — serving as Faculty & Staff Diversity Advisory Council member at Yorkville University, Co-coordinator at Dorothy's Place, and serving as jury member at international festivals including the Kingstoon Festival and TAVIA Awards in Jamaica, and the Youth Media Alliance Awards in Canada.
